No more than 10 minutes walk along the canal from Garstang is the Bridge House Marina, which also doubles as a Caravan Park. This is a working marina situated on the banks of the Lancaster Canal which offers a quite scenic location to both sail and moor boats. Due to the much publicised Ribble link, the Lancaster Canal is now connected to the main systems of England, yet still manages to be one of the only canals that is lock free for 42 miles.
