I’m a bit late this week for my entry for 52/2012, mainly because the weather hasn’t been great. Yesterday I managed to get out along the coast, weather was fantastic, lovely sunny day, reasonable temperature for winter. Anyway I managed to capture this bird sitting on the rocks. I think it’s a young Golden Plover.
Hi Mike
As you now know, it’s a Turnstone in Non-Breeding Plumage. A lovely shot too, I told you should do a few more birdie shots!!! Lol
Cheers.

Nice use of lens flair to give the background a little ooomph. π Looks almost like a halo.

That bird is a pudgy as our cardinals and robins this winter. Lots of food and no cold weather. Nice background, it’s all about the bird.

Very pretty shot. Birds are so difficult to photograph. Like it.
