52/2013 Week 1

I don’t know why I have committed to doing this challenge again but I’m in so here’s the first photograph.

52/2013 - Week 1

My reasons for taking this should be pretty obvious. I just thought it was so ironic that there were all those very important safety messages and dire warnings. Yet right next to it there’s a large hole in the safety fence.

I am taking part in a Weekly Photo Challenge on Flickr which has nothing to do with the WordPress Weekly Photo Challenge. The main difference between the two challenges is that the Flickr one requires you to shoot a fresh image each week and is not themed. So you have control of what you photograph for that week.

If you are interested in signing up for the challenge then head on over to the 52/2013 – Give Us Your Best Shot Group on Flickr.

I didn’t see the gap in the fence until i read about it. The yellow sign and the mysterious old building behind it were enough to draw me in.

That old buildin gis a ruined castle in a terrible state. It’s falling down and it is dangerous to enter the site

I also find irony in the very spike fence tips too. – Suzan –

Well, that is how it goes. Warn others of danger and then don’t return to make sure your signs are still up and your fencing intact. I would call that taking things for granted. Unfortunately that is the way of many people who really do not want to be bothered to appreciate what they have or maybe don’t have. I like that shot. Interesting that you found a fence that is flawed.
