Today I was out in the National Park. I had originally planned to do some photography on the coast but I’d heard reports that many of the lakes in the park were flat calm and that there were some amazing reflections. Too good to miss; so change of plan.
And I wasn’t disappointed. This is just one of a series of photographs I took today at Llynnau Mymbyr showing the Snowdon Horseshoe. Viewed left to right: Y Lliwedd, Snowdon (Yr Wyddfa), Crib Goch and Garnedd Ugain (Crib-y-Ddysgl).
I hope you enjoy the photograph – Mike
of my word! I was going to post a photo of some nice reflections in our dam but I think this gazzumps it. Beautiful – hope to see some moe posts soon.

Quite beautiful. The snow on the horseshoe and the reflections in the lake are simply stunning.

The reflection was definitely the “Keeper” element for me, Alan.

It certainly was Cynthia. I’ve never seen so many of the lakes so flat like this. It really was a beautiful day and there were a lot of people out photographing. The beauty is that many lakes are short walks from the roadside so you can get to them fairly easily.

How fortunate that you can do that, be there, shoot so much of value. 🙂

So do I. Sometimes you get really lucky. The number of times I have been in that area and the lakes have never been calm like that.

It was a great day Theresa, Warm weather, flat calm couldn’t have asked for more. Well maybe less people out with their cameras….
